A stunning set of four teak dining chairs from the 1950s designed by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen Mobelfabrik of Denmark. Modeled #42 and commonly referred to as the "Z" chair this set features beautiful craftsmanship throughout with a solid teak frame, uniquely formed armrests and a pivoting backrest. Both the unique form and pivoting backrest make these one of the most comfortable chairs to sit in. Set is in overall very good condition but would require reupholstering. An icon of the Danish Modern era with tons of Mid-Century Modern character.
