1960s Erik Buch Teak Dry Bar * Denmark *

A stunning freestanding teak dry bar from the 1960s designed by Erik Buch for Dyrlund of Denmark. Features a beautifully curved front with a cylindrical steel foot rail, inlaid black laminate counter and work area, a row of cylindrical holders for bottles, two small drawers on the right side and sliding red laminate doors to the lower storage compartment. Apart from the compact stylish form the bar drawers are uniquely designed with elliptical chrome handles that when depressed at the top flip open at the bottom to activate the pull function. Bar is in overall very good condition with some light signs of wear from use to the laminate surface areas and minor nicks along the edge of the pull to the lower drawer. An amazing example of Mid-Century Modern design by one of the renown designers of the Danish Modern era.
