1960s Teak "Paper-Knife" Lounge Chair by Kai Kristiansen

A stylish teak lounge chair from the 1960s Mid-Century Modern era designed by Kai Kristiansen for Magnus Olesen of Denmark. Refered to as the "Paper-Knife" chair due to the sculptural woodwork to the arms which taper at the center as they slope towards the rear legs. Amazing craftsmanship throughout featuring a solid teak frame with beautifully sculpted lines and splayed rear legs. Recently reupholstered in a light green fabric material and in overall excellent condition. A stunning example of Scandinavian craftsmanship by one of the premier designers responsible for propelling Danish Modern design to the cutting edge of International Style.
